SAVOY - Kazuko Yamamoto Martin, 89, of Savoy, formerly of Casey, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday (Feb. 15, 2025).She was born Aug. 9, 1935, in Heian'nan-do, Korea, the daughter of Tatsusaburo Yamamoto and Hisa Okamura Yamamoto.On March 9, 1962, she married the love of her life, Cecil Harvey Martin, in Yokohama, Japan; he passed away on Sept. 18, 2017. Their marriage was a testament of how to navigate the good times and bad.Survivors include her daughter, Regina (Tim) Leuck of Champaign; son, Toby Martin of Alvin, Texas; and grandchildren, Kristen (Tanner) Typer, Jarrett Leuck, Casey Martin, Riley Martin and Kelsey Martin.She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband.Kazuko was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a trained seamstress, wonderful cook, avid gardener and enjoyed crocheting.
