Lela "Jean" Hamilton Scott, age 93, of Martinsville, IL died at 2:15 a.m. on Monday, May 27, 2024 at her home with her family at her side.
Visitation will be 9 – 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Greenwell Funeral Home in Martinsville, IL. The funeral will follow the visitation with Branton Scott and Rev. Kevin Small officiating. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Cemetery in Martinsville, IL.
She was born March 8, 1931, in rural Martinsville, IL, daughter of Virgil David and Eunice Esther (Lindsey) Hamilton. She married Charles "Everett" Scott on November 1, 1947 in Marshall, IL; he preceded her in death on May 31, 2005.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Elliott (Rick) of Marshall, IL; two sons, Brian (Hope) Scott of Plainfield, IN, and Brad (Sue Ann) Scott of Martinsville, IL and a sister, Lois Cutright of Martinsville, IL; eleven grandchildren, Misty Elliott McDonald, Kelly Elliott Dudley, Tiffany Elliott (Adam) Moseley, Mark Scott, JoDee Scott (Jordan) Templeton, Siera Scott (A
