Lisa Marie Skidmore, 59, of Trimble, IL, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 12, 2024, after a valiant battle with cancer. Born on November 9, 1964, in Valdosta, GA, Lisa's early years took her to many places, but her family eventually laid down roots in Trimble, IL. She graduated from Robinson High School in 1983, but not before leaving a lasting impression with her unique spirit and zest for life. After all, she was a hippy at heart and a true original, always marching to the beat of her own drum.
Lisa's interests and hobbies were as eclectic and vibrant as her personality. Her green thumb was evident in her beautiful flower garden, and she was an exceptional forager with a profound knowledge of plants' medicinal properties. Lisa's adventurous spirit shone through in her love for horseback riding, a passion she had pursued since 1991. She was also known as something of a snake wrangler/whisperer, fearlessly catching them with an ease that left others in awe. H
